Perhaps you have seen a relatively effeminate comrade who aspired to appear macho.
THOU SHALL BUILD LIVING MONUMENTS unto thy victory and thy liberation. Thou shall mould thyself BEYOND thyself. But first, thou MUST cultivate thyself square in body and soul. We are now in the SECOND piece of PERSONALITY PUZZLE. SEVEN therapeautic tonics to loftily LOCATE your LIFE’s BASIC BEARING: ANK on respecting the healing power of nature (vis medicatrix naturae). The body’s power to heal itself is key. The clinician’s role is to support and enhance that process. When stars and celebrities introduce themselves, they often include their blood types, and magazines often have predictions based on blood type. On the negative side, these blood type personalities can be used as a type of racism, judging someone’s personality based on one fact or ranking on whose better or worse based on blood type. To the extent I desire to be CONSCIOUS about my bodily HEALTH, Seek health first; other things shall be added unto you, or their absence will dimly count. #34. I, ___________________________, cultivating being proactive on the status of my bodily HEALTH, do DECISIVELY DECLARE that, the rough-and tumble of LIFE means my body go through quite some battering in the course of a lifetime. I am bound to get aches and pains, which at times leave me fearing that serious ailments are creeping up on me. I have realised that, the majority of these symptoms usually amount to nothing, otherwise all people would all be dead by now. Knowing what symptoms to ignore will keep me away from lots of unwarranted medical interventions. I have heard of a common phrase in medicine called ‘benign’. This is a term used to describe the innocence of several aches, bumps, or whatever other symptoms that people experience from time to time. If my doctor gets to the conclusion that what I have is benign, I could always give it a rest. Alternatively, I could find a simple way of coping with it, without musicalising it too much. At times it is pointless to visit a doctor only to be told that what I have is harmless and that it will sort itself out in the course of time. In this reference, as a BLESSED BEYONDIST, I hereby, make an ABSOLUTE AFFIRMATION that, I know about the odd headache that comes along and goes away with simple painkillers. Or a cold that bogs me down for a few days, or some muscular discomfort related to the odd strain, or even some tummy upset after a forgotten indulgence. That sort of stuff should not end me into panic mode. My body take care of itself when simple ailments come along; if I only give it a chance. But if my symptoms persist longer than a few days, or appear to worsen unexpectedly, then seeing a doctor is justified. Some tests down the line may end up with some mundane diagnosis. My doctor may conclude that nothing needs to be done. Nothing? Yes, doing nothing is an option that could be used more in medicine. I might have a bump that is unsightly but completely harmless. Trying to get it out might land me into unwanted complications, or even death. Why not leave it alone and get it reviewed if anything changes? Whatever I have, I should always consider the balance between benefit and harm whenever an intervention becomes apparent. The best way to do this is to be well informed about my choices. I will never be in too much of a rush to get treatments that may be well avoided. I have understood that, there are far too many unnecessary medications being dished out on a daily basis. Equally, an untold number of patients get operated on daily when all that was necessary was a wait-and-see approach. I should have an open mind and seek medical advice whenever there is good reason for it. The rest of the time, especially if I maintain a degree of objectivity, I could always let innocent symptoms run their course. PROPOSE: - When I go to see a medical practioner, I will explain what I am feeling and let him or her prescribe for me the required medication. I should not pester him or her with so many questions, for he or she knows better than me, what is appropriate for me. If some harm comes my way, as it will sometimes, I should get my healthcare providers to address it. In the event that I must see a physician, I will make sure I have an idea of what is ailing me. Then I will make sure I select the most suitable healthcare. There are many ways of selecting the most qualified doctor, or the best hospital. I should get recommendations from friends and family, search online or check with the local medical board. I will always ensure I see the right specialist. |
