We cannot change anything unless we accept it.
OUR VOCATIONAL CHOICES ARE AN EXPRESSION of our personality, at work and in school. From one’s experiences one learns to prefer some activities. These preferences are turned into interest. Then the interest is translated into a special group of competencies. Finally, a person’s interests and competencies create a disposition that leads him or her to think and act in a certain manner. SEVEN therapeautic tonics to loftily LOCATE your LIFE’s BASIC BEARING: ASK in glory, that you are one of a kind. Your combination of skills and experience is not replicable. That represents true freedom and the ultimate power we humans can possess. Vocational Identity, or rather the adoption of a consistent ideal of one’s self in the vocational world, is critical to job satisfaction, and has been demonstrated to be highly correlated. An individual with vocational identity has a clear sense of what his or her skills are, what reasonable career goals might be, as well as occupations that might be compatible. This sort of self-awareness coupled with knowledge of resources makes it likely that one would find work that is a good fit, or congruent with his or her needs. Here is BEYONDISM FORMIDABLE FORMULA for SELF-ACTUALIZATION Solid Stance #46: The earning of money within the modern economic order should be spiritually enriching. Catalysing Consideration #46: It should be the result and the expression of virtue and potency in a calling. Mighty Mission #46: It lacks the vocational flavour, the romance, the born instinct and the natural ability. Vivid Vision #46: A person’s authentic work, whether in arts or in science, is always a portrait of oneself. Gaining Ground #46: They do not say: “I want a boring job where the only thing I look forward to is Friday.” Capturing Clouds #46: They never say: “I would like to be in a work which makes me so tired and unhappy.” Lofty Leap #46: The highest monetary offer only makes sense in the context of an overall career plan. Merry Momentum #46: ‘Devoted, obedient,’ is a definition you must be wary of; may be a lure to slavery. Holy Hearken #46: It does not account for affection, which is to say that it does not account for any value. Divine Distinction #46: It is like a man who knows 100 ways of making love but does not know any women. Prudent Planting #46: Choose a career you love, and you will never have to work a day in your LIFE. Hoped Harvest #46: The human potential is infinite though some people sometimes act as if it was not. Cardinal Concept #46: As substantially scribed FOR YOU. ..............Therapeautic Takeaway #46 Move BEYOND the prospect of a stable job with big salary to pursuing your nourishing dreams. Critical Canon #46: As candidly cracked BY YOU. .............. To BECOME spontaneously delighted by my profession in as much as it really revels my spirit. Renaissance Rehearsal #46: As purposively partook BY YOU. .............. REFUSE slothfulness and indolence, by unleashing the vital VOCATIONAL mode of operation. #46. In as much as I initiate the process of being a MASTER, MASTERY of any field of knowledge is not a function of genius or talent. #46. I, ___________________________, catalysing my career inclination, towards the highest level of MASTERY, do DECISIVELY DECLARE that, after my formal education, I will enter the most critical phase of my LIFE – a second, practical education known as The Apprenticeship. Before it is too late, I will have to learn the lessons and follow the path established by the greatest Masters, past and present – a kind of Ideal Apprenticeship that transcends all fields. In the process I will master the necessary skills, discipline my mind, and transform myself into an independent thinker, prepared for the creative challenges on way to MASTERY. I understand that, LIFE is short, and my time for learning and creativity is limited. Without any guidance, I can waste valuable years trying to gain knowledge and practice from various sources. Instead, I must follow the example set by Masters throughout the ages and find the proper mentor. I will choose who best suits my need and connects to my Life’s Task. Once I have internalised their knowledge, I will have to move on and never remain in their shadow. My goal will always be to surpass my mentors in MASTERY and brilliance. In this reference, as a BLESSED BEYONDIST, I hereby, make an ABSOLUTE AFFIRMATION that, the task which I will choose to work on will have an obsessive element. It will connect to something deep within me. I will adopt such a spirit and see my apprenticeship as a kind of journey in which I will transform myself, rather than as a drab indoctrination into the work. I understand that, the initial stages of learning a skill will invariably involve tedium. Yet, rather than avoiding this inevitable tedium, I will have to accept and embrace it. I realise that, the goal of an apprenticeship will not be money, a good position, a title, a degree or a diploma, but rather the transformation of my mind and character. I will know when my apprenticeship will be over by the feeling that I will have nothing left to learn in that environment. It will be the time to declare my independence or move to another place, to continue my apprenticeship and expand my skill. I acknowledge that, there are 3 steps to the apprenticeship. Step 1, entails deep observation; noticing everything, especially the details. Step 2, implies skills acquisition; learning to do what I do extremely well. Step 3, means experimentation; learning to make those skills my own, and going BEYOND them. As I will continue accumulating more skills and internalise the rules that will govern my field, my mind will want to become more active, seeking to use this knowledge in ways that are more suited to my inclinations. Instead of feeling complacent about what I will have known, I will expand my knowledge to related fields, giving my mind fuel to make new associations between different ideas. In the end, I will turn against the very rules I will have internalised, shaping and reforming them to suit my spirit. Such ORIGINALITY will bring me to the heights of POWER. PROPOSE: - A name without fame, is like fire without flame. In choosing my career, my chief considerations should be money and attention, which will eventually, guarantee me a BIG NAME. I should see my work as something more inspiring, as part of my vocation. It is my calling. The voice that is calling me is not necessarily coming from God, but deep within me. It emanates from my individuality. It tells me which activities suit my character. And at some point, it calls me to a particular form of work or career. My work then is something connected deeply to who I am, not a separate compartment in my LIFE. I develop then a sense of my vocation. When in the circle of charming companions who facilitates the unfolding of my values, attitudes and aptitudes of being e.g., Intellectual, Introspective, Inquisitive, Curious, Methodical, Rational, Analytical, Logical, Scholarly, Scientific, Technical, or Medical, I am immensely inspired. Moreover, when in an enticing environment which allow me to use my skills, abilities and propensity e.g., for solving problems, perform experiments and conduct research, I am potently productive, as well as fast and furiously moving in the direction of being a MASTER. There are many paths to MASTERY, and if I am persistent I will certinly find one that suits me. But a key component in the process is determining my mental and psychological strengths and working with them. To rise to the level of MASTERY requires many hours of dedicated focus and practice. I cannot get there if my work brings me no joy and I am constantly struggling to overcome my own weaknesses. I must look deep within and come to an understanding of these particular strenghts and weaknesses I possess, being as realistic as possible. Knowing my strenghts, I will gain momentum. I will not be burdened by conventions, and I will not be slowed down by having to deal with skills that go against my inclinations and strenghts. In this way, my creative and intuitive powers will be naturally awakened. |
