A BELIEF is rather an imaginative creation.
It is a personal possession within each one of us.
We must fashion it out of our individual experience.
We must adapt it to our practical or emotional needs.
We must adorn it as well as may be to suit our aesthetic tastes.
Here are SEVEN ways on how to ULTIMATELY UPGRADE your awareness on this matter!
Self-Discrepancy Theory affirms that, we need beliefs to be consistent.
Distinguished Developers: American psychologist Edward Tory Higgins (b. 1946).

  1. USUALLY, even when people have the same specific goals, they vary in how they represent these goals.
  2. PUT rightly, some people represent their goals (self-guides) as hopes or aspirations: ideal self-guides.
  3. GOING under the ought self-guides, are how individuals represent their goals as duties or obligations.
  4. RADICAL gap between ideals and oughts, is why people have different reactions to same negative events.
  5. ACTUAL self being discrepant from ideal, leads to sadness and depression – dejection-related emotions.
  6. DISCREPANCY of actual self from an ought, leads to nervousness and worry – agitation-related emotions.
  7. EMOTIONAL vulnerabilities depend on the dominating self-guide: dejection, ideals and agitation, oughts.
Timely Therapy: - Seek to have no discrepancy between what you SAY, what you ARE and what you DO.

SCHOOL PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE in shaping and developing those ideals which informs our general outlook about LIFE. The High School, College or University is the most enriching and memorable phase of one’s LIFE, where one meets new friends, and is exposed to new information and new ways of viewing things. The knowledge one acquires at this time serves as the foundation for future career choice as well as occupational thrive or failure.

As a YOUTH you must attend school to learn and acquire attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary for effective living. Though school is vital in your LIFE, it can be a source of stress.

SEVEN therapeautic tonics to loftily LOCATE your LIFE’s BASIC BEARING:

  1. BOWING down to the challenges (in your own view) you may be facing in your college or university is a disgraceful act which you should loathe with your entire PSYCHE.
  2. ESSENTIAL, positive character traits that reflect inner strength entails a perpetual propensity toward being generous and open, empathetic, and resilient under pressure.
  3. AFFIRMATIVELY, these stronger, more flexible qualities often require awareness and practice to truly become habits that can be relied upon. This is your most critical assignment.
  4. REALLY strong character has a tensile quality like a good piece of metal — it can give and bend but still retains its overall shape and never breaks; manifests itself in overall adaptability.
  5. IN adversity, retains your presence of mind, can handle chaos and the unpredictable without succumbing to anxiety, patient, organises a lot of material, and completes what you start.
  6. NOTABLE strength emanates from a feeling of personal security and self-worth. This allows you to take criticism and learn from your experiences. You keeps your word.
  7. GENERALLY, you do not give up so easily, wants to learn how to get better, open to new ideas and ways of doing things without compromising the basic principles you adhere to.

Renaissance Rehearsal #6: As purposively partook BY YOU. .............
REFUSE valuelessness and self disregard, by solidly building and consolidating SELF-WORTH.

#6. To the extent I aspire to handle the hurdles in my SCHOOL,
How should I solidly build and consolidate my SELF-WORTH?

Some students unfortunately find themselves constantly in trouble at school.
There are so many ways to become distracted, and you are hardly alone!
Avoid trouble and the habit of getting constantly called out by your teacher.
Follow the rules and channel your energy into becoming a better student.
Learning requires behaviour that lets you fully participate in the class lesson.
Follow school expectations and allow other students to do their work as well.
A good student is one that is prepared, active, safe, interacting, and helping.

#6. I, ___________________________, fully committed on inculcating unto myself GOOD BEHAVIOUR IN CLASS, do DECISIVELY DECLARE that, just letting my teacher know I am trying will go a long, long way! He or she can help come up with a way to improve together. I have realized that teachers can help modify the class, such as making clear prompts to what I am supposed to do, or avoiding embarrassing situations which may make me act out. If I have got a reputation as a trouble-maker, many teachers will be impressed if I am sincere about wanting to be better in class. Making the effort to talk to my teacher is a good first step in changing the way my teacher looks at me. I will get to know my teacher! My teacher is a person--not just a teacher! He or she has interests, feelings, and opinions. Getting to know my teacher as an individual may make it easier to listen and respond to him or her. Also, my teacher may get to know me as a person, too! This rapport can make working together a lot easier. I will talk to my parents or guardian. Admitting I have an issue does not mean I am a bad person; I will recognise I have a problem. And there are many reasons as student I may have behavioural issues. Parents can do a lot in working with the school to get the help I may need. I will use my imagination and decide to like the topics. If I have trouble paying attention and staying on task, changing my attitude can help a lot. Instead of rolling my eyes and groaning every time I have to learn history, work on my handwriting, or do math problems, I will try to use my imagination to make the tasks cooler and more fun. It might sound stupid, but pretending my schoolwork is fun can actually make it fun. I will not “do my math,” pretend to be a rocket scientist learning to plot the paths of rockets, or an astronaut trying to plot my course home from the planet Zebulon 4. I will not pretend that I am Albert Einstein, cracking the secrets of nuclear energy. I will not “practice handwriting,” pretend that I am translating secret messages from a mysterious government agency, or that I am learning to speak Klingon. I will not “do my reading,” imagine that I am a famous author preparing to give a lecture in front of a crowd of adoring fans.

In this reference, as a BLESSED BEYONDIST, I hereby, make an ABSOLUTE AFFIRMATION that, I will make good friends. I have realized that, at school, my friends will have a big influence on my behaviour. If my friends are cutting up in class, getting in trouble, and joking around, it will make it a lot more difficult for me to be on my best behaviour. I will try to make friends with comrades who want to succeed in school, who are well-behaved, and who are fun to hang out with. The class clowns will always stand out, but that does not mean that these students are the best kind of friends I could make. I will look to the quiet students and try to hang out at recess, or sit with someone I do not normally talk to during lunch to find out if I get along. I will not be afraid to tell my friends that I cannot sit next to them because I do not want to get in trouble. If my friends are true friends, they will understand my desire to avoid getting into trouble and support me. If I want to behave in class, it is very important that I learn to relax and pay attention to stay on task. The best way to do this is to focus on sitting still. I will not fidget, mess around with the items in my desk, or bother my neighbours. I will just sit quietly and listen to the lesson. I will have lots of fun outside of school. For some students, going to school is the only time to see friends, making it much more tempting to joke around and act out when I am supposed to be studying. To avoid that temptation, I will try to make a point of hanging out with my friends a lot on the weekends, after school, and at more appropriate times. If I am so busy having fun, I might even start to look on school as a chance to finally sit quietly. I will NEVER say my teachers name out loud. I will raise my hand first, and NEVER interrupt while someone else is speaking to the teacher. I will NEVER answer back to the teacher.

PROPOSE: - I should respond to the overriding temptation to talk to my friends, even when the teacher is speaking in class. I also feel the pressure to interrupt the teacher with a question, when he or she is talking.
OPPOSE: -
Typically, any time after class has started, is time to be quiet. I should save the things I want to say to my friends for later. If I have a question about an assignment, I should raise my hand when appropriate to ask, write it down to myself and ask the teacher later. I should avoid sitting with friends who may get me in trouble. One of the common ways a student gets loud and disruptive is talking with friends. I should sit up front to avoid the temptation to chat during class if I can. There is plenty of time to socialise at recess and lunch and after school. I need to be in the building when school starts, and I need to be in my seat when class starts.

DISPOSE: -
If I have a question, or I have something I want to say, I should not just shout it out or direct it at my neighbors. I should raise my hand, wait to be called on, and then speak when I have been given permission. I should have something specific and brief to say, so I am not wasting class time rambling. The most appropriate time to raise my hand and speak is when I have a question that other students might have, as well. “What pages are we supposed to read for tomorrow?” and “How do I find the lowest common denominator?” are both appropriate questions. Inappropriate questions include things that are particular only to me, or things that are off-topic. “Why did I get a D?” or “What do you think of Mr. Kosgey, or Miss Mwangi?” are probably both inappropriate (albeit maybe interesting or funny) questions for class. If I want to talk to my teacher about these things, I should write down my question, and wait until after class. If I am given class time to do homework, I should make sure I use that time doing homework, not as free time. That means work on the assignment that I am supposed to work on. I should not work on homework for other classes during work time, unless I have been specifically given permission. If I am given time to work on a group project, I should not withdraw from the group and sit working on my math homework; I will be wasting work time, and the time of others.

The Inciting Incident, in the manner of a Central Conflict, that sets into motion the main problem of my LIFE is I will be on the lookout not to reach the point whereby my self-esteem may get squeezed out like orange pip, leaving the whole fabric of my personality structural basis in a splendid fallout shatter. I will never lose my self-respect, nor be too familiar with myself (lonely) when I am alone. Increased confidence is the key that will open new doors in my LIFE. If I take anything that come to me with confidence, I will be hard to beat.
