SUMMARY on how to PROVOKE an ORDERLY
LIFE

  1. SETBACK to a noble soul is what cold water is to burning metal; it strengthens, but never destroys it.
  2. USUALLY, none of us are ever going to get to the place in LIFE where we have no disappointments.
  3. MOVE through daily LIFE by boldly accepting finite disappointment, but never losing infinite HOPE.
  4. MAJOR disappointment is a sort of bankruptcy of a soul that expends too much in illusory expectations.
  5. ACTUALLY, we must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of disappointment.
  6. REAL disenchantment - a minor or a major shock - is the signal that things are moving into transition.
  7. YES, disappointment may not be an easy thing to face, but is an inevitable feeling all humans face.
  1. PROUDLY living in vulgar ostentation and offensive opulence will not make you in any way POWERFUL.
  2. ROGUE arrogance is ‘vanity of vanities’. To be GREAT is not to be placed above humanity, ruling others.
  3. ONLY standing above the partialities and futilities of uninformed desire, amounts to an enduring self-rule.
  4. VERITABLE sovereignty, which is taking the steer wheel of our PSYCHE, is to be existentially ennobled.
  5. OPULENCE, simply means that the more we know of our retrogressive impulses, the less they control us.
  6. KEENLY, nothing will prudently protect us from external compulsion so much as the control of ourselves.
  7. EVENTUALLY, the greatest of all wonders is not the conqueror of the world, but the subduer of oneself.
  1. ONCE you devote your LIFE to one PURPOSE, then your mind gets rewired as per your WILL to serve it.
  2. READILY breathing, dreaming or living that purpose, is your hope; the assurance of positive expectations.
  3. DILIGENT bravery involves laying down your LIFE for something bigger than yourself, or someone else.
  4. EVERYTHING or someone you have ever known or liked, is given up, for the sake of something greater.
  5. REALLY, it is gritting your teeth through pain, working boldly, and slowly walking toward a better LIFE.
  6. LAUDABLE maturity is when you stop complaining and giving excuses, and start making vital changes.
  7. YOU cannot control the behaviour of other people, but you can always CHOOSE how you respond to it.

May you gainfully get the 3rd ILLIMITABLE INSPIRITION!

The most enduring definition of COUNSELLING is:
“Helping one to ADJUST to one’s DEVELOPMENTAL process, in order to live contentedly”.
As the key word here is ADJUSTMENT, HAPPY is you who will accrue this WISDOM.
Which is a bitter-sweet DELIGHT, deepened by the very DISCORDS that enter into its HARMONY;
For you will gain the insight that, LIFE itself is a positive FORCE.
And every normal function of it holds some FELICITY.
NOW be appropriately armoured by the most POTENT PRECEPT of LIFE:

  1. PROGRESS since the dawn of civilization is a dialectical movement, almost a series of revolutions, in which people after people, and genius after genius, become the instrument of the Absolute (God). Great individuals are not so much begetters, as midwives, of the future; what they bring forth is mothered by the Zeitgeist, the “Spirit of the Age.”

  2. REAL genius is merely having an insight into the requirements of the TIME - what is ripe for development. This is the very TRUTH for one’s AGE, for one’s WORLD; the species next in order, so to speak, and which is already formed in the womb of TIME.

  3. ESSENTIALLY, genius holds up to others the magic glass in which all that is significant appears to them collected and placed in the clearest light, and what is accidental and foreign is left out. A genius thinks of the fundamental, the universal, the eternal; others think of the temporary, the specific, the immediate.

  4. CRITICALLY, in these days of disillusionment and suffering, we should not loose our faith. We MUST under no temptation, start looking out upon a ruined society, with no alleviating vision of a vaster LIFE, in whose final justice and beauty these ugly ills would be dissolved.

  5. EVERYWHERE, the greatest intellectual capacities CAN only be found in connection with a vehement and passionate WILL. Thought without action is a disease. The triumph of MIND and WILL over illness, and a thousand obstacles, is one of the sunny spots in the BOOK of mankind.

  6. PRAGMATIC as you should in your temperaments and orientations, you MUST cordially recognise the probable limitations of human knowledge. You cannot quite fathom that great sea of existence of which you are merely a transient wave. The gospel of “less thought and more action,” may seem appealing to most people. But the creed of “critical thought and decisive action,” has an eternal significance.

  7. TO have no regular work, no set sphere of activity, what a miserable thing it is! Effort, struggles with difficulties! That is as natural to a human being as grubbing in the ground is to a mole. To have all one’s wants satisfied is something intolerable. It is tantamount to the feeling of stagnation which comes from pleasures that last too long. To overcome difficulties is to experience the full delight of existence.

May you whoopingly win the 3rd PURPOSIVE PRIZE!

Which is the core and hub of Apparent (Psychic) Adustment?

Seek to overcome the gnawing sense of ‘inner vacuum’ (hopelessness).
Resist any sort of shrinking of your mental horizons (helplessness).
These are the chief causes of predisposition to violence.
You have to ‘SELF-IGNITE’ your psyche, to downplay all failures and ignore all limitations.
You have to make yourself demand and expect more from the inexhaustible coffer of nature.
You must overcome yourself with immense self-belief that you are destined for great things.
This conviction is in itself a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Why MUST you interact on your own terms?

This may sound frighteningly morbid to many at first glance.
It can be therapeautic when one considers just how toxic a huge swath of society really is.
Cultivate positive energy within yourself.
Avoid the negative that presents itself in others.
If you are not in control of who you interact with and how,
The negative energy of others will infect you from the inside out.
And your mind will become an enemy of your desires; you will sabotage yourself.

May you felicitously face the 3rd phase of DILIGENT DIMENSIONS

In the Hegelian dialectics, BEING is the thesis while non-being is the anti-thesis. French existentialist philosopher Jean Paul Sartre (1905 - 1980) goes on to affirm that BEING is by its very nature contingent. French Roman Catholic existentialist philosopher Gabriel Marcel (1889-1973) takes a mystical approach to the issue, he sees BEING essentially as a mystery. German philosopher Martin Heidegger (1889 - 1976) asked: Do we in our own time have an answer to the question of what we really mean by the word BEING? In his major work Being and Time (1927) he made three presuppositions; firstly, he maintains that BEING is the ‘most universal’ concept; secondly, that the concept of BEING is indefinable and thirdly that BEING is of all concepts the one that is self-evident.

The 1st Dimension of BEYONDIST ‘BEING’
Being - in – the – World #iii
Existence Precedes Essence

“Man is nothing else but what he makes of himself.”
— French philosopher, dramatist, novelist, and political journalist Jean-Paul Sartre (1905 - 1980)

In Being and Nothingness (1943), Sartre explores consciousness and freedom, discussing how the self exists in relation to the world and others—emphasizing intentionality and situated freedom. Let’s go BEYOND the TEXT by authoring a poetic synthesis of Sartre’s concept of “Being-in-the-World”, simplified and linked to the ideal of Self-Actualization, in the context of an African Renaissance, as grounded in BEYONDISM.

(SEVEN articles [each in 7 lines] on developing purposeful INSIGHT about LIFE)

  1. Incisive Radical Freedom
    1. I am not BORN with purpose — I choose WHO I BECOME, step by step.
    2. No destiny defines me — I create meaning through action, or even misstep.
    3. SELFHHOD is not a thing, but a PROJECT — unfinished, wild, and adept.
    4. I EXIST first, then deftly define myself — no excuses, no secret script kept.
    5. Given this FREEDOM, I must acutely act — not wait for chains to be swept.
    6. History bends when I deliberately decide to move, not when I quietly accept.
    7. To rise with AFRICA, I must candidly choose FREEDOM and never forget.

  2. Notably Conscious Choice
    1. I wondrously wake each day not as a machine, but a merry maker of choice.
    2. Not programmed, I must volitionally decide — and in doing so, I give voice.
    3. SELFHOOD founts in decisions — not in waiting, but in stepping past noise.
    4. In choosing, I REVEAL my values — not FORCED, but consciously poised.
    5. Given a HISTORY of silence, my action becomes AFRICA’s rejoicing noise.
    6. HEARTS shaped by oppression must still DARE to define, revel and rejoice.
    7. To go BEYOND, I must choose for myself — not out of any FEAR, but poise.

  3. Suitable Responsibility of Existence
    1. I cannot belligerently blame FATE, bloodline, or gods for what I DO NOT DO.
    2. No other individual defines me — I own my ACTIONS, both the false and true.
    3. SELF-actualization demands this weight — the burden of freedom held in view.
    4. In being and becoming, I solidly shape my future and the world I walk through.
    5. Guilt is not punishment — it’s the affluent alarm CALLING me to breakthrough.
    6. HEARTS assertively awaken when they realize no SAVIOR is coming through.
    7. To rebuild and relocate AFRICA, I must be responsible for what I truly pursue.

  4. Immobilizing Others Gaze
    1. I feel myself when others LOOK at me — I become aware of who I am.
    2. No SELF is solitary — we are mirrors subtly shaped by EYES that scan.
    3. Selfhood wrestles with how others see us — we must break or reprogram.
    4. In AFRICA, this means unlearning LENSES fixed by the colonial human.
    5. Generations were told they were less — we must REJECT that old exam.
    6. HEARTS must look inward to rise — not reflect Europe’s worn-out plan.
    7. To go BEYOND, I must suitably SEE myself with my own INNER scan.

  5. Generating Meaning in Action
    1. I am not BORN with meaning — I must MAKE it through LIVING now.
    2. Not essence first, but existence — a TRUTH Sartre never failed to endow.
    3. SELFHOOD is SCULPTED by action — not theory, not bloodline, or vow.
    4. In the world, I categorically carve myself, like a factual farmer with plow.
    5. Greatness comes from choosing — not waiting for permission to know how.
    6. HEARTS robustly rise when they choose to create, not just ask why or how.
    7. To actualize AFRICA, I must SCULPT a new TRUTH — HERE and NOW.

  6. Honing Authenticity and Rebellion
    1. I BETRAY myself when I live by lies; role-playing what other individuals want.
    2. Not FREE if I PRETEND — I must face TRUTH, even when it hurts or haunts.
    3. SELF-actualization needs rebellion — to resist and to refuse the colonial taunt.
    4. In authenticity, I break illusions; I stand tall, not shrinking from what I confront.
    5. Growth happens when I SHED imposed roles and embrace what I TRULY want.
    6. HEARTS must radically rebel with wisdom — not just react, but think, and daunt.
    7. To go BEYOND, I must laudably live REAL — not deceptively as a carbon-font.

  7. Thoroughly Becoming BEYOND
    1. I am possibility — unfinished, OPEN-ended, a becoming BEYOND today’s view.
    2. Not static, not stuck — EVOLVING, I am always MORE than what I once knew.
    3. SELFHOOD is a launchpad, not a fixed point — and dreams of what I may, are true.
    4. In risking, I grow, I mature, I expand AFRICA’s soul — not borrowed, but born anew.
    5. Going BEYOND means leaping — not comfortably staying safe, but breaking through.
    6. Hope breathes where the bold characters build, and not just when they endlessly argue.
    7. To be a future, I must be BEYOND — truly transformative, revolutionary and REAL.

The Flesh of WE: A Chant for African Becoming

“The other’s body is not a thing in the world like other things,
but another subjectivity, another point of view on the world,
a way of experiencing it differently and making it visible.”
— Maurice Merleau-Ponty

Merleau-Ponty describes how our embodied subjectivity is always intertwined with others. We encounter others not as minds hidden behind bodies, but as living presences co-existing in a shared world. Below is a poetic interpretation of Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s concept of “Being-with-Others”, centered on intercorporeality, embodied perception, and relational existence, now fused into a Beyondist vision of Self-Actualization as the ignition of the African Renaissance.

    6. Love lucidly leads when theory prostrate or kneels to the FLESH of being here.
    7. Liberation lives in how we APPEAR—and disappear—together, year by year.

The 3rd Dimension of BEYONDIST ‘BEING’
Being–with–in–Motion #iii
Translucent Awakening: Through Gebser’s Integral Lens

“Consciousness is not a thing but a flowing,
a movement that manifests through ever new structures of presence.”
— Jean Gebser

In the above quote Gebser highlights how being unfolds dynamically, not as fixed states but as evolving modes of awareness in motion. Gebser saw Being as evolving through stages of consciousness (archaic, magic, mythic, mental, integral). Each shift is a motion of Being-with in deeper relational awareness. The core of his argument that human existence is not a static self-in-isolation, but a relational process unfolding in time and motion—deeply aligns with the BEYONDIST view of co-becoming and transcendent relationality within larger cultural or cosmic arcs.

Restore the Flame: Evocations of Will, Becoming, and the Dance BEYOND Despair

“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”
— Friedrich Nietzsche

Friedrich Nietzsche didn’t explicitly frame his philosophy as “Absurdism” like Camus, but his reflections on meaning, nihilism, and life’s apparent meaninglessness deeply relate to absurdist themes. The above quote resonates with the spirit of absurdism. The emphasize is on the power of creating one’s own meaning amid life’s chaos and suffering, a core idea underlying responses to the absurd. Nietzsche challenges us to affirm LIFE by forging meaning BEYOND traditional values, confronting the void with strength and creativity.

(SEVEN articles [each in 7 lines] on how to RESTORE meaningfulness in your LIFE)

  1. Revaluation of All Values
    1. Reason has lied—its gods are dead, their TEMPLES dust beneath our stride.
    2. Even morality must be reborn, not inherited from chains dressed as wisdom.
    3. Slavery of SPIRIT ends when we BURN false virtues and FORGE new fire.
    4. To be AFRICAN is not to cowardly obey old truths, but to RECREATE life.
    5. Our WILL must sculpt meaning from chaos, sculpt soul from broken silence.
    6. Rise, O dreamer—TRUTH is not found, but CREATED in your defiant vision.
    7. Every value must bow to the Becoming spirit—untamed, uncolonized, unbound.

  2. Eternal Recurrence of Courage
    1. Return not in fear—but ardently say YES to LIFE’s endless, ABSURD repetitions.
    2. Even agony recurs, but so does BEAUTY—if we audaciously dare to affirm ALL.
    3. Say a nourishing YES to the creative circle, to time’s loop, to NOW as SACRED.
    4. To meaningfully live is to accept the weight of ETERNITY in each fleeting breath.
    5. Our Renaissance demands warriors who say yes even to suffering, even to absurdity.
    6. Real FREEDOM comes not from escape—but from full EMBRACE of the cycle.
    7. Every breath becomes DIVINE when celestially lived as if CHOSEN again forever.

  3. SELF as Sculptor
    1. Real power lies not in determined fate, but in solemnity shaping the SELF like stone.
    2. Even the ABSURD becomes beautiful when chiseled with purpose, style, and strength.
    3. SELF-actualization is the artist’s task: FORGING meaning from meaningless matter.
    4. To BE is to continuously BECOME—again and again—without end or final form.
    5. Our HISTORY does not statically define us—it is clay in the hands of BECOMING.
    6. Refuse to inherit identity—candidly create it boldly, dangerously, ETERNALLY.
    7. Even the void can celestially shine when merrily molded by the WILL to greatness.

  4. The Will to Power
    1. Rage is not destruction—it is the SOUL’s engine, the will’s SACRED scream.
    2. Energy once crushed must rise—raw, radiant, self-determined in every motion.
    3. SELFHOOD is not peace—it is FORCE, directed toward creation, not conquest.
    4. To purposively live is to overcome: self, sorrow, systems that silence the divine.
    5. Our WILL is sovereign—it bends worlds, births futures, burns chains to embers.
    6. Reclaim the Promethean right to will without apology—your LIFE is your LAW.
    7. Even the ABSURD must obey the thundering flame of one who dares to become.

  5. Our Tragedy and the Dance
    1. Real joy is born in the shadow of suffering—not despite, but through.
    2. Even despair can be danced—if rhythm is found in the broken notes.
    3. Strength is not the absence of pain, but thrilling mastery of its music.
    4. To affirm the TRAGIC is to turn sorrow into SACRED performance.
    5. Our dance is ABSURD—yet it is HOLY, rooted in earth and stars.
    6. Rise, O AFRICANS not in spite of the wound, but because it sings.
    7. Every step forward reclaims a rhythm empire could never understand.

  6. Radically BEYOND Good and Evil
    1. Refuse the binaries: good/evil, master/slave, civilized/savage—burn them all to birth new light.
    2. Even MORALITY must kneel before FREEDOM—no inherited law defines our BECOMING.
    3. SELFHOOD is fondly forged in fire, not obedience—ETHICS must serve the evolving SPIRIT.
    4. Truth is not given on a silver plate—it is earnestly earned in sweat, sorrow, and sacred solitude.
    5. Our BEYONDISM boldly breaks the chains of borrowed judgment with fierce fidelity to LIFE.
    6. Real values essentially emerge from will, from vision, from rising where none believed possible.
    7. Even the ABSURD bows to the SOUL that dares to wondrously write new COMMANDMENTS.

  7. Entrenched Übermensch (Overman) Within
    1. Rise, not as conqueror—but as creator: one who dances BEYOND despair.
    2. Even the dust remembers stars—it only needs a solemn SOUL to wake them.
    3. See NOW: the formidable fertile FUTURE is not a gift—it is a forged flame.
    4. To be AFRICAN and felicitously free is to be myth reborn, man become god.
    5. Our RENAISSANCE is not return—it’s a spiral ascent toward the never-before.
    6. Redefine the HUMAN in your image—fierce, ABSURD, sovereign, luminous.
    7. Even ETERNITY changes when one SOUL dares to affirmatively say: I WILL.

WELFARE in Skillful Flow: Readiness, and the BEYOND of African Becoming

“When I am absorbed in hammering, I do not experience the hammer as a hammer; it becomes an extension of my body. I am not aware of it at all. The hammer is ready-to-hand.”
— American Philosopher Hubert L. Dreyfus (1929–2017)

Hubert Dreyfus argued against the dominance of symbolic AI using Heidegger’s ideas of embodied, skillful coping. The above quote captures the essence of readiness-to-hand: when tools or objects recede from conscious focus and become transparent in skilled use, revealing a non-representational, embodied understanding of the world. The 3rd ONE Word (hover below) which Breeds SEVEN Words to Depict Who a BLESSED BEYONDIST Is:--->
Amorous Faithful Resilient Incisive Charming Adventurous Nurturing

The 3rd of SEVEN reasons why you should be PROUD to be an AFRICAN:

  1. Amorously moving beyond the dictates of emotions, thus being blissful always.
  2. Faithfully awakening your real nature and your experiential relation with God.
  3. Resiliently destroying all fabrics of falsity, deceptions and endeavoring afresh.
  4. Incisively overriding and trashing all superstitions and intellectual inhibitions.
  5. Charming and yearning to enjoy fully your every moment and hour of mortality.
  6. Adventurously never exaggerating your emotions to either extreme right or left.
  7. Nurturing and involving your mind with new and inspiring concepts and ideals.

Readily Responding to the 3rd BEYONDIST BELL

BRACE yourself! O gallant son or daughter of Africa.
We should be tantamount to the dark cumulus cloud.
That loftily lowers, its LIFE cherishing benevolence to nature.
Our motives should be analogous to the heavy rainy drops,
Falling one by one into the very thirsty, dried souls of others.
Showering them with a deep sense of personal reinvigoration.
Offering the right atmosphere for SELF-ACTUALIZATION.

BEYONDISM you see, is an idea. A thought. As the most assertive and progressive inhabitant of Africa, we exhort you to do nothing more than spread that thought – the seeds of that idea – far and wide. To all corners of the Africa continent, these seeds must reach. When the seed lands on fertile soil, it will sprout shoots and grow. That is all. We do not even know what it will grow into, but there are minds out there that are ripe for this idea. Seize this chance and crown it as the only opportunity to make an indelible mark in your TIMES.

1. When some ideas seek to put a screensaver to us!

Looking the clear sky of Reality only through the roof holes,
Cramping our perspective to a very basic and limited horizon,
Controlling our vision to blindly entertain a very shrunk world,
Has been the pet lesson in the syllabus of our immoral tutors.
Our knowledge has consequently been narrow and shallow,
Our experiences has surfaced out to be cheap and worthless,
Our wonder in the attainment of wisdom has been null and dull.

Verily, to courageously amass the solid, stout hero-spirit,
Of focusing the reality holistically upon the open field,
To exit ourselves out from the depth of cognitive blurriness,
Is to climb to the high peak of an AFRICAN RENAISSANCE,
It is to drink deep the eternal juice of a new CIVILIZATION,
It is to witness the vast endlessness of an unfolding mystery.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

1 >

2. On being an early bird, to catch the early worm!

If we continue being belimed in the nullifying, negating habit,
Of carrying forward the balance of vital decisions and actions,
Always arriving at the airport when the plane has departed,
Always covering our nakedness when the light has caught us,
Always making unnecessary haste at the late eleventh hour,
We shall be the unwitty victims of everything that saps us,
We shall encounter everything that impedes self-fulfillment.

Verily, an AFRICAN RENAISSANCE is like an anxious boat,
That rests on the bank of a river ready and waiting to cross.
To ride this boat, we will have to duly overcome all ‘perhaps’,
Which are suffocating, crippling and filthly holding us back,
Against this virtual death that militates on our assertiveness,
Of freedom to think, to talk, to walk and live ‘here and now’.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

2 >

3. When others want to drag us into futile talks!

Diplomacy is the essential and indispensable yardstick,
For moving along this hostile, at times ruthless world,
As it enables us to be as lofty and as courteous as possible,
In dealing with others, even those with heathen tempers.
Always aware of deficiency of patience in many people,
Who could easily take the things we say the wrong way,
Or misinterpret our sincere motives and subtle inclinations.

Verily, when no loathing shall lurk forth from our mouths,
Then we shall move comfortably, within and upon the society,
Stealthily, swiftly, softly and lively, like the fish unto water,
Spreading the core gospel of an AFRICAN RENAISSANCE,
By expounding the potentiality of an AWAKENED AFRICA,
To everyone who can lend us his or her sundry ear and mind.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

3 >

4. Upon seizing the desire to pursue and to think big!

LIFE is only interesting, fulfilling, alluring and enriching,
As long as we comprehensively utilise and ardently use,
The current state as a springboard to any further conquest.
And when there is apparently no challenge to overcome,
There ceases to be any joy or excitement in LIFE itself;
The only source of replenishment is in idolizing our past.
In this chilling immobility, we are in state of virtual death.

Verily, the sun of an AFRICAN RENAISSANCE stands,
At the midday, as the rainbow of an emancipated Africa,
Lies reflected with divine eternal serenity on its light.
The ice of our frozen hopes, expectations and opinions,
Melts into the water of our highest dreams and visions.
As our missions floats carefree towards our redemption.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

4 >

5. When spirit-bowing-feelings tend to overcome us!

One of Richard Nixon’s classmates described earnestly,
This future president and the champion of Vietnam War,
As; “somewhat shy, basically aloof, careful to keep
People from getting closer to him”.
But later in LIFE, bold moves characterised and catapulted,
This brilliant, professional, shrewd politician, who journalist,
Stewart Alsop praised for “deft sense of personal diplomacy”.

Verily, against all slavish sermons of imprisoning our spirits,
An AFRICAN RENAISSANCE shall ooze a blustering wind,
Where many noses will start sneezing the over-fresh breeze,
Of enlightenment as we develop confidence in self-expression,
By acquiring the priceless skill to spontaneously experience,
And express, without fear or favour, our emotions and ideas.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

5 >

6. When the temptation to tell others is overbearing!

The tongue in its smallness, and its uninvited interference,
With territorial integrity and esteemed privacy of others,
Can inevitably lead and plunge the whole body and self,
Into unnecessarily untold misery and regrettable sorrow.
Moving tactfully without arousing unnecessary hostility,
Non-intervention with the esteemed sovereignty of others,
Is an imperative interpersonal device we should nurture.

Verily, like the sun which would not feel honoured at all,
If there was nothing to which it would not shower its rays,
Our happiness is found in teaching others what we know.
But the cardinal tenet of an AFRICAN RENAISSANCE,
Is that, knowledge should only be bestowed and distributed,
To those who have outstretched their hands to receive it.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

6 >

7. In regard to sharpening and armouring our focus!

Unlike the weak, the indolent, the apathetic and indifferent,
Those who have lost themselves in their way of self-search,
We should delight in being lion-willed and strongly focused,
By making sure that the room that is our heart or our soul,
Is ever warm with confidence and ever lighted with zeal,
We will notice that, in the state of continued self-elevation,
There will be no time left for beating around the bush.

Verily, distorted with anguish and riddled with anxiety,
Strangled with desperation and worn out with disorders,
Out of pale ashes, sprouts an AFRICAN RENAISSANCE,
And merrily rises above the chocking weeds of callousness,
And like a mighty wave carries us off and further away,
Towards our essential rapturous, beautiful, ennobling destiny.
Blessed are we who pronounces the Greatness of our Times.

7 >

Numinous Note #3

Capturing the ever-present amazing brilliant grace of God,
Infusing and reactivating it within our psyches and egos,
We will be showered with the art of blending with anyone,
Reflecting on the little brilliance they are endowed with,
Magnifying this energy by feeding it with fuel of our charisma,
Making them feel highly elated and at the top of the world,
And shall have turned latent enemies into zealous disciples.

What MUST our consciences say?
We shall BECOME the persons WE ARE destined to authentically BE.

Power of the Dream - CELINE DION
Born on 30th March 1968, Céline Marie Claudette Dion,
Is a Canadian singer who has sung in English and French.
This song ‘Power of Dream’, released in 1990 is so incisive.
Deep within each and every heart, there lies a magic spark,
That lights our imagination, and since the dawn of man,
The strength of just ‘I can’ has brought together all people.
Your mind will take you far, but the rest is just pure heart.

Deep within each heart
There lies a magic spark
That lights the fire of our imagination
And since the dawn of man
The strength of just “I can”
Has brought together people of all nations

There’s nothing ordinary
In the living of each day
There’s a special part
Every one of us will play

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
To bring us closer to the power of the dream
As the world gives us its best
To stand apart from all the rest
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

Your mind will take you far
The rest is just pure heart
You’ll find your fate is all your own creation
And every boy and girl
As they come into this world
They bring the gift of hope and inspiration

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
To bring us closer to the power of the dream
The world in lights and hope and peace
We’ll pray that you will always be
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

There’s so much strength in all of us
Every woman child and man
It’s the moment that you think you can’t
You’ll discover that you can

Feel the flame forever burn
Teaching lessons we must learn
(To bring us closer to) the power of the dream
The world in lights and hope and peace
(We’ll pray that) it will always be
It is the power of the dream that brings us here

Feel the flame (forever burn)
Teaching (lessons we must learn)
(To bring us closer to) the power of the dream
(The world in lights and hope and peace)
We’ll pray that it will always be
(It is) the power of the dream that brings us,

(The power of the dream)
(The faith in things unseen)
(The courage to embrace your fear)
(No matter where you are)
(To reach for your own star)
To realise the power of the dream
To realise the power of the dream.

BEYONDISM IS THE FIRST cock’s crow of an AFRICAN AWAKENING. BEYONDISM means the perception and establishment of law in the chaotic flux of things and desires. By imagination and reason we turn experience into foresight; we become the creators of our future, and cease to be the slaves of our past. This lies in seeing and acting, sub specie eternitatis - Greek, “under the form of eternity”; in making perception and action fit the eternal perspective of the whole.

People construct and interpret MEANING at both high and low levels. High levels of MEANING involve comparison of one’s self against broad personal or social standards, such as how a current behavior might relate to an event that might occur in the future. Low levels of MEANING, in contrast, involve a narrow, concrete awareness of the immediate present. Studying for an exam, for example, can be explained as fulfilling a long-term goal of achieving academic and career success (high level of meaning). At a low level of meaning, studying for an exam could be explained as simple eye and muscle movements.

People shift their level of awareness to a low level of meaning when they are confronted with parts of their identity that fail to meet socially approved standards. People also prefer a low level of awareness after experiencing failure or stress. You will seek to escape from your core SELF when one or more aspects of your IDENTITY fall short of expectations. You will narrow the focus of your attention to the present and immediate environment to avoid MEANINGFUL thought regarding unflattering aspects of yourself.--->

The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.
BEYONDISM is a formula for extracting meaning from chaos.
It is like a handful of water we scoop up to recall an ocean.
Lke any general statement BEYONDISM is like a check drawn on a bank.
Its value depends on what is there to meet it; it is a call to avoid any ESCAPISM.
Here are SEVEN ways on how to ULTIMATELY UPGRADE your awareness on this matter!
Escape Theory seeks to explain our tendency to run-away from uncomfortable realities.
Distinguished Developers: Heatherton and Baumeister (1991).

  1. USED to describe behaviours that enable one to flee from negative self-perceptions is Escape Theory.
  2. PEOPLE have a severe realisation that current outcomes fall below societal or self-imposed standards.
  3. GHASTLY, one blames these outcomes as parts of one’s personality, as opposed to situational factors.
  4. RECOGNITION that current outcomes portray the self as inadequate, guilty, or incompetent, is painful.
  5. AWFULLY realising that current outcomes fall short of desired expectations arouses negative emotions.
  6. DECADENTLY, one seeks to ESCAPE from this reaction by avoiding high-level, MEANINGFUL thought.
  7. EVENTUAL avoidance of SIGNIFICANT thought removes restraint, precipitating undesirable behaviours.
Timely Therapy: -The resultant behaviours from a motivation to escape from the self are often undoing.

No myth, no fiction, no theology, no ideology should match the romance of your individual REALITY. Ennobled and consumed with a reconstructive vision, contemning no person’s observations or ideas, but lighting your torch at every human’s candle, is your mark of Godliness. With a nose for facts, and an eye for the clouds, to the extent that Locating your BEARING is to clarify your LIFE’S TASK and to affirm your DESTINY, it is to KNOW THYSELF, which is to live a worthy, examined LIFE.

In as much as this means diligently deciphering your own personal RIDDLE
- Decoding your own epic -
Why is this critical commitment an opus basilikos (Latin, a “noble task”)?

“That which is necessary,” says German philosopher, poet, and classical philologist Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844 - 1900), “does not offend me. Amor fati” – love of fate – “is the core of my nature.” Such a philosophy teaches us to say Yea to LIFE, and even to death, “a free man thinks of nothing less than of death; and his wisdom is a meditation not on death but on life.” BEYONDISM is rooted in what German philosopher and educator Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762 - 1814), referred to as: conatus esse preservandi - the effort to preserve one’s self. To channel your inherent powers, in the context of what is socially possible, is to Locate your BEARING. The greatest lesson according to German poet, dramatist, novelist, and scientist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832), is: doss wir entsagen sollen - we must accept the limitations which nature puts upon us. But not those artificial barriers imposed by an envious society.
--->

i. BEYONDISM serves as the very sauce and flavour, by which a heavy dish of thought is made palatable and digestible, for minds unused to philosophic fare. Ours (Africa) is a continent invested with and haunted--->

by political quacks, theological charlatans and enterpreneural vandals, who with unrivalled eloquence have sawed off the branch on which they sat. Your spirit having been intoxicated for so long, by empty rhetoricians who are in the words of Greek philosopher Plato (428 - 347 BC) “shopkeepers with spiritual ware”, here you will find a factual fount for your PSYCHIC nourishment.

ii. Essentially, we cannot build a progressive African society, with young people corrupted at every turn by the bad example of their elders. We must start, so far as we can, with a clean slate. We must give to every child,--->

and from the outset, full equality of educational opportunity. There is no telling where the light of talent or genius will break out. We must seek it impartially everywhere, in every rank and community. The first turn in our road, is emulating BEYONDISM with all our PSYCHIC powers.

iii. A BLESSED BEYONDIST, will be a person of action rather than merely one of thought – a human being seasoned to high purposes and noble temper, by long experience and trial. BEYONDISM means--->

an active culture, and wisdom that mixes with concrete busyness of LIFE. You will be a cleansing whirlwind for a continent rotten with delusions, illusions, fantasies and superstitions. In you .............. alone, BEYONDISM will find voice and audacity, and Africa will be utterly changed.

iv. Realistically armoured by the distinguishing characteristics of the powerful instincts of acquisition and competition, one will be free from the fever of combative possession (which consumes many people).--->

Hungering and thirsting not after possessions endlessly multiplied, but after righteousness and honour, BEYONDISM is categorically convinced that, a handful of RIGHT is better than a bagful of MIGHT. Consequently, GOOD is that which survives, which wins, while BAD is that which gives way and fails.

v. In the context of BEYONDISM, a practically perfect and jovially just society (not utopia), would be that in which each class and each unit would be doing the work to which its nature and aptitude is best adapted to.--->

It is a society in which no class or individual would interfere with others, but all would co-operate in difference to produce an efficient and harmonious whole. Equality here means giving each person a chance to develop one’s abilities, while repecting other’s different, but equally unique propensities.

vi. Nurtured in total consideration of one’s “Nature”, each person shall receive the equivalent of what he or she produces, and shall perform the function for which he or she is best fit. According to BEYONDISM,--->

a just person is one just in the right place, doing his or her best, and giving the full equivalent of what he or she receives. A society of just people would be therefore a highly harmonious and effectively efficient group; for every element would be in its place, fulfilling its appropriate function like pieces in a perfect orchestra.

vii. Going forward, BEYONDISM will eventually facilitate a ruthless weeding out; the Great Elimination, we might call it. The test for any individual’s REALISTIC RELEVANCE in the society, will be no mere--->

academic examination; it will be practical as well as theoretical. Every kind of ability will have a chance to show itself, and every sort of stupidity will be hunted out into the light. The test will be impartial and impersonal; whether one is to be farmer or a philosopher will be determined not by monopolised opportunity or nepotic favouritism. The selection will be more democratic than democracy. To devise a method of barring incompetence and knavery from public office, and of selecting and preparing the best to rule for the common good, is the affluent assignment of BEYONDISM (the presumption that every one who knows how to get votes knows how to lead is the worst malady of democracy).

Towards this end, BEYONDISM gently guides you:

As a student committed to a fertile future;
Be your real self; who your individuality invokes.
Break all those cocoons of folly and ignorance.
Never be dislocated by the influence of Comrades.
Never allow being moulded upon others’ images.
Always cultivate and nurture your self-concept.
Always utilise the present moment optimally.
Here now flows BEYONDISM’S definition of a STUDENT:
Seeing all your teachers as allies and not your enemies.
Treating your parents with all the respect they deserve.
Unlocking all your inherent study and learning potential.
Directing all your subtle impulses towards a better future.
Endeavoring to clear off negative retrogressive feelings.
Negating all emotional plagues against your self-esteem.
Trampling upon all social and self-imposed limitations.

“What is madness?” French writer and philosopher Voltaire (1694 - 1778) asked and answered: “To have erroneous perceptions and to reason correctly about them”.

To escape from self-injury at this very sensitive stage in your LIFE, is to form a solid foundation for your future.

FIRST, you MUST understand what it entails to be a STUDENT.

Besides appreciating your Psychosocial Prerogative as a ‘YOUTH’, your prima facie duty as a ‘STUDENT’ should never escape your consideration.

A one persuasive skill every student should cultivate and nurture, is the ability to perceive education as a nourishing part of one’s developmental process.

You should train yourself to view the present commencement in your academic LIFE, as merely a milestone in your present and future self-development.

You should conceive education not as a task and a preparation merely, but as a delightful and ennobling intimacy with the cultural heritage of mankind.
--->

SECOND, you MUST understand the essential and core meaning of EDUCATION. As a STUDENT your major condemnation is to have a good education. What is EDUCATION therefore? Education is the most persuasive ‘suitable survival strategy’, to be won to the service of the individual and the general community. Education ought to be the key to general social improvement, and to your growth as a dynamic psychological, as well as biological entity. Like religion, the pure purpose of education is to potently produce the best in a human being. As such, education should not simply be a preparation for future living, but rather a process of living, its own end.
--->

Towards this end, BEYONDISM gently guides you:
As a ‘Self-Stimulated Student’ committed to success;
Education is the supreme key to your future thrive.
Make learning to be a joyous, invigorating experience.
Study not with the shallow aim of passing the exams;
Study with a deeper objective of acquiring knowledge.
Eventually, in the formidable expansiveness of your mind,
Passing exams will be naturally and easily achieved.
Here now flows the BEYONDISM’S definition of EDUCATION:
Enhancing your general outlook with all knowledge acquired.
Directing learning to affect all your behaviour and desires.
Using and verifying what is learned in class, in general LIFE.
Cultivating all your resources to being a productive person.
Arousing critical thinking and perpetual thirst for more ideas.
Transforming all your old notions into self-enhancing percepts.
Interrogating and reflecting on the world and all its unfolding.
Opening up and clearly seeing for yourself new perspectives.
Nurturing and developing every potential capacity within you.

  1. Do not criticise, condemn, or complain to the lecturer about his or her performance rather: focus on, and discuss, the material and your understanding of it.
  2. Let the lecturer know what you appreciate about the class or course.
  3. Be pleasant. A smile goes a long way.
  4. Know and use the teacher’s/lecturer’s name.
  5. Listen to what the lecturer has to say about himself or herself.
  6. Talk in terms of what the lecturer is interested in.
  7. Let the lecturer know that you think he or she is important.
  8. Avoid arguing.
  9. If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.
  10. Ask questions rather than give orders.
  11. Try honestly to see the teacher’s/lecturer’s point of view.
  12. Let the lecturer know that you sincerely want to do well in the course.
  13. Always have the subject textbook in your hand whenever you see the lecturer.
  14. Hand in all assignments on time throughout the term.

An indispensable element in ACTIVATION of your SELFHOOD, is to win the hearts and minds of your teachers/lecturers. Good communication skills affect how well you do in the lecture hall, with your lecturer, and in your studies! Teachers/lecturers will evaluate you on your participation and demonstrated interest in, and accomplishment with, the course work. Impressing teachers/lecturers is simply a matter of asking good questions, and responding with good answers. Being an “interested” student will determine how you influence your lecturer.

The first attribute of a serious STUDENT is an insatiable curiosity.
Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will.
It is better to ask some of the questions than to know all the answers.
Curiousity is key to learning, and when we are inquisitive about a subject,
We are much more likely to remember information we learned about that subject.
Research is formalized curiosity; it is poking and prying with a purpose.
The following are 7 x 2 = 14 strategies to demonstrate your interest and curiousity:
--->

“If there is one general law of communication it is that we never communicate as effectively as we think we do.”
- Irish-born British management educator and writer Charles Handy (1932 - )

“It is better not to express what one means than to express what one does not mean.”
- Austrian writer Karl Kraus (1874 - 1936)

“It’s easy to get people’s attention, what counts is getting their interest.”
- U.S. labor leader and civil rights activist A. Philip Randolph (1889 - 1979)

Effective communication skills that build a positive learning environment are:
Self-awareness; sending direct, complete, relevant, congruent messages.
Listening; using feedback and being aware of what we are communicating nonverbally.
The benefits of fostering communication relationships,
Enable students to freely discuss thoughts and ideas and create an open environment,
In which questions can be asked without the risk of being judged or humiliated.
The following SEVEN SITUATIONS present options that reflect how to communicate:
--->

1. Your lecturer reviews yesterday’s assignment in class. What should you do?
  • Complain about it.
  • Join the discussion: what you understood, what you question, and where you are challenged.
  • Avoid eye contact because you are not interested.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
Complaints should be a last resort for an assignment. First understand where problems are in the discussion. The difficulties or complaints will emerge soon enough.

  • 2. Privately your lecturer wants to know what you think about your course subject choice. What do you say?
  • Tell your lecturer that the subject is useless, avoid him or her and walk away.
  • Let him or her know why you have signed up.
  • Explain your program, and ask how the content will fit into it.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
Here you first explain your situation, leaving open your explanation on what benefit you can achieve. Remember: he or she is asking for your opinion, and your situation will help him or her understand not only you, but others!

  • 3. In the hallway, your lecturer just said hello. How do you respond?
  • Establish eye contact and say “hey”.
  • Ignore him or her and tell your friends that the lecturer likes you.
  • Give your lecturer an awkward facial expression.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
A simple “hey” is all that is required. Basic friendliness is also part of the educational experience. Be glad that your lecturer recognises you among all the other students.

  • 4. In class, your lecturer starts talking about his or her career. What do you do?
  • Look on Craigslist for a new guitar.
  • Ask what this has to do with the course.
  • Listen, and try to understand how this relates to the course.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
A lecturer’s background qualifies him or her to teach a subject. If the lecturer speaks about his or her relation to the subject, he or she is validating why he or she is even in your classroom. In any situation, a career reflects expertise, whether teaching, banking, plumbing, etc.

  • 5. Your lecturer invites you to talk to about your course work after class. You are busy then. What do you do?
  • Explain why you are busy, and say you would rather not.
  • Explain why you are busy, and arrange for a convenient time.
  • Ask if he or she has a problem.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
Notice the lecturer is expressing interest in you. If there are problems, even that you do not see, this is the first step to resolving them. You did well by first explaining that you have an appointment or sport or job, etc. and being open to setting up a good time for both of you.

  • 6. Your lecturer helps you out with some homework that you were having trouble with. What do you do?
  • Express appreciation, and ask for suggestions for the future.
  • Pretend that you really knew what you were doing all along.
  • Try not to let him or her know you are having trouble.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
Well done that you thanked the lecturer for help; better yet to ask for recommendations on the future. This demonstrates that you both appreciate the help, and are interested in succeeding!

  • 7. In class your lecturer just said something that you do not agree with. What do you do?
  • Argue with him or her.
  • Try to convince him or her that he or she is wrong.
  • After class, mention that you did not agree with that statement, but ask for more information.--->

    Best BEYONDIST communication:
Saving your objection for after class demonstrates that you respect the lecturer, and are not out to embarrass either him or her or yourself. A private conversation is always a good first strategy to resolve differences and avoid confrontation, even with friends! Never publicise disagreements without first understanding the opposing view.

  • To churn out the value of that paper is a different matter altogether. You must ingest and digest the content in all your units. You must make the course material part of your PSYCHE. You must go the extra mile and study materials related to your field (though not stipulated in your course). You must use the course materials to expand your view of the world.

Empowered in this way, you will not be part and parcel of those ‘tarmackers’ who are always knocking the door of other people’s offices in search for employment. You will not lower yourself to be a dreamless, wage-earner working to build other people’s dreams. You will not be a mere stone in other people’s buildings. Proud enough to BE YOUR OWN BOSS (BYOB), you will narrow down on your START-UP VENTURE. In abundance of confidence, you will work towards realisation of your ideals.

Eventually, you will sail through in the corporate world and perhaps maneuver across borders with a Transnational Solution, spirited by the words of U.S. business and management writer Christopher A. Bartlett (1943 - ): “A company’s ability to innovate is rapidly becoming the primary source of competitive success.”

So far so good, about your robust relationship with your lecturers.
You have acquired enough intellectual gusto to heartily enjoy LIFE, with lively enthusiasm.
You have also amassed the necessary emotional stamina, to solidly stand on your own.
Soon you will emerge from your college or university with a certificate.
That leaflet of LEGITIMACY and EMPOWERMENT.
You will stride with purpose past the gates and into the world.
Armed with the most potent and liberating of all weaponry - EDUCATION.

But if you are to separate yourself from the many YOUTHS who simply pass through college or university (graduates and get that paper), you must differentiate between having a degree or diploma, and the value of that paper.

To acquire a degree or diploma, you may cram your way through to graduation. You may also copy your exams from your friends. You may also collude with your lecturers to award you false marks.--->

It is not an easy task to remove psychology and philosophy from the “Ivory Tower” of specialists and thinkers (without diluting these noble professions with the mediocre waters of intellectual dishonesty, social conformity or political correctness), and put these Invigorating Ideas into your young growing mind. Perhaps our success will be measured by the extent we will have ironed out any problem of comprehension and interpretation. To complete the pyramid of Activating your SELFHOOD, and put an end to all superficial speculations, about the general human nature, and your specific situation, is the supreme end of BEYONDISM.

In as much as our Potent Profession; the reflection of our compulsion, is WITTILY WAKING, SLUMBERING SPIRITS (WW/SS), our flamboyant formula can be summarised simply as; FLOATING BUTTERFLY-STYLE, AND STINGING BEE-LIKE. This entails freely floating in the expansive realm of knowledge and research, and diligently distilling all those incisive ideas which are effective and persuasive enough to subtly sting your PSYCHE, and arouse, as well as stimulate it to respond to the personal, social and physical world with the necessary vigour and vitality.

In this regard, now armour yourself to be lifted from the pit of Fiction (mythical and emotionally appealling ideas, but out of touch with reality), to the ground level of Abstract (ideas relevant to common understanding and based on ‘bare necessity’), to the Positive (progressive, scientific account of the reality AS IT IS).--->

When you will have ACTIVATED your SELFHOOD, you will be able to easily follow your BEING. In this way you will be able to spread your wings to the furthest possible distance. As you do this, remember that the path without obstacles leads nowhere. Challenges are the spices for the diet of existence, which makes the business of LIFE to be highly palatable.

Immerse deeply in your studies to arm your mind with the necessary tools to start your own venture in the specic field of your interest. If you study with the narrow interest of being employed, you will simply be focused on acquiring that Diploma or Degree certificate. Towards this end you may find yourself not reading and researching well on your assigments, or even cheating on your exams.

However, if you study with the broader interest of mastering a field, your focus will go BEYOND acquiring that Diploma or Degree certificate to understanding the hidden codes in that field. In this way you will study BEYOND what your syllabus says. Cheating on exam will not be a point of concern as you will have studied even BEYOND the confines of what your teachers/lecturers imparts on you.

This is what specifically separates those with ‘slavish mentality’ of learning to be employed (simply working for money), with those with ‘mastery mentality’ of learning to be employers (having money work for them) in their areas of expertise. This does not mean that to be employed is absolutely bad, but you should take the employment as a tentative apprentiship phase of acquiring the requisite skills, or seed capital to enable you to be on your own.

As you emerge from your academics, into work world, you must become increasingly bold. Instead of feeling complacent about what you know, you must expand your knowledge to related fields, giving your mind fuel to make new associations between different ideas. You must experiment and look at problems from all possible angles.

As your thinking grows more fluid, your mind will become increasingly dimensional, seeing more and more aspects of reality. In the end, deep Exploration plus Exploitation equals Hot Streaks.

You will turn against the very rules you internalised.
Shaping and reforming them to suit your spirit and your social conditions.
Such originality will bring you to the heights of POWER!
Woe unto those who subdue their own dreams, so as to actualise others’ dreams.
Cursed is the man or woman who cowardly shrinks, from initiating his or own venture.
Blessed is you who seeks to audaciously immerse in savings, investments, and innovations.
For ye shall opulently orient yourself to RULE the WORLD, by crafting a SUITABLE STARTUP:
    --->

You need to gain knowledge simply to make it through LIFE. If ever (and God forbid) you may be disabled, or crippled, LIFE will still have enough MEANING so long as you are constantly learning. Learning changes what YOU WISH FOR WHEN YOU PRAY. Learning means appreciating, benefitting and taking advantage of the infinite heritage of human knowledge and experience.

The world is changing in big ways. You need to study past present changes to understand what is happening NOW, so that you can anticipate what is likely to happen in FUTURE. As you accumulate more skills and internalise the rules that govern your field, your mind will want to become more active, seeking to use this knowledge in ways that are more suited to your inclinations.

What will impede this natural creative dynamic from flourishing is not a lack of talent, but your attitude. Feeling anxious and insecure, you will tend to turn conservative with your knowledge, preffering to fit into the group and sticking to the procedures you have learned. Instead, you must force yourself in the opposite direction.

SUBSTANTIALLY, what do you basically need to start a thriving business?--->

Many reasons affluently abide, but THREE simple things are critical: know your product better than anyone. Know your customers, and have a burning desire to succeed.

THE best startups generally come from somebody needing to scratch an itch.--->

An entrepreneur is someone who has a VISION for something and a want to CREATE. Chase the VISION, not the MONEY; and MONEY will end up following you.

ALL humans are entrepreneurs not because they should start companies,--->

but because the WILL-to-CREATE is encoded in human DNA. Transforming this WILL into ACTION is very vital. The VALUE of an IDEA lies in the USING of it.

REALLY, the fastest way to CHANGE yourself, is to hang out with people --->

who are already the way you want to be (mentors or role models). At the same time, the secret to successful hiring is this: look for the people who want to CHANGE the WORLD.

TIMING, perseverance, and ten years of trying (persistence) will eventually--->

make you look like an overnight success. In the end, a VISION without the ability to EXECUTE it (to make it a reality) is probably an illussion, if not a hallucination.

USUALLY embrace what you do not know, especially in the beginning,--->

because what you do not know can become your greatest asset. It ensures that you will absolutely be doing things differently from everybody else.

PRUDENTLY, whether you think you can, or think you cannot – you are right.--->

As long as you are going to be thinking anyway, THINK BIG. Solid success is not about having infinite ideas. It is about making ideas PRACTICAL.

It is worth realising that, most of the important things in the world, have been accomplished by men and women who were ‘persistent’ enough even when there seemed to be no hope at all. You are not necessarily obligated to have an instant win in whatever you do; you are nevertheless obligated to keep trying to do the best you can everyday. “Things are to be tried, an old lady cooked stones and produced soup”, thus goes Shona, Zimbabwean proverb.

You should energise and magnetise your mind with an intense, definite burning desire; a zest which alone is enough to draw you to create plans for acquiring your intended aims and objectives. It was American SELF-HELP author Napoleon Hill (1883 - 1970) who taught:

“When one is driven by an impulse of thought, adopting an intense bulldog determination and a definite purpose in standing back of a particular goal, really desiring a thing so deeply until it becomes an all-consuming passion, willing to stake one’s entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, one is destined to mow down all opposition, and one should be guaranteed of unconditional achievement.”--->

“Once people tell me I can’t do stuff, I’m going to go and make it happen,” so sung American rapper Faheem Rasheed Najm, alias T-Pain (b. 1985). Victory and success will accrue to you, only through persistent effort. There is no shortcut in this regard. No stroke of luck. Listen to British poet Henry Wadsworth Longefellow (1807 - 82):

The heights by great men reached and kept,
Were not attained by sudden flight,
But they, while their companions slept,
Were toiling upward in the night.

    One who masters, conquers all.
Think Big, but Start Small; simple is the new complex.
Your destiny is already sealed but the journey is your choice.
An “eye” on the vision is more important than an “I” on the vision.
For every clear vision there is an abundant, generously greater provision.
Whatever you enjoy doing without the need for a reward or specific result is divine.
SEVEN ways to PRAGMATICALLY PIONEER your road to MASTERY:

    --->

DO YOU WISH TO JOIN THE LEAGUE of the learned(?) ‘intellectual manambas wearing academic buibuis’? Would you want to be counted among men and women who are furnished with many theories, but who have no practical idea of how to solve the menacing problem of daily LIFE? Of course not. Your desire MUST be to become a learner, who is a thinker dedicated to be a MASTER in your specific field of interest. Being solution-oriented as opposed to being problem-centered, you will have answers to the Big Questions in your immediate society (in your line of specialty). You will eventually rise to the possible highest peaks of MASTERY and POWER.

Having an insight on your SELFHOOD, and consolidating this awareness with BEHAVIOURAL REACTIONS which are in consonant with your personality traits, is to be a SELF-STIMULATED STUDENT and a YEARNING YOUTH. This alone counts for your value or the quality or state of being useful in this world. “A useless life is an early death”, so noted German poet, dramatist, novelist, and scientist John Wolfgang Von Goethe (1749 - 1832).

    i. Personally, there is something you are good at, and one in which you can become outstanding at if you just pay attention to it. Your training should be in the area of your skill. Education should be geared --->

towards area of skill, and your LIFE designed around the appreciation of that skill, regardless of its popularity or lack of it. Understand your lane, stay in it and sharpen what you have and let the results speak for you. If you genuinely pursue your skill with diligence and focus, those who once laughed at you will one day laugh with you. Those who asked you “who are you?” will one day ask; “how are you?”

ii. In this part of the world where people wait for one person’s success in an area and then everybody flocks into the same direction, stay true to your gift. The path of “copycatting” leads to lack of creativity, --->

disorientation and ultimate disillusionment. Around the globe, people are facing the same problem - that we are born as individuals but are forced to conform to the rules of society if we want to succeed. In other words, we are born originals, but perhaps we will die as copies.

iii. Orienting yourself, to see your uniqueness expressed in your achievements, you must first learn the rules - and then how to change them completely. Charles Darwin (1809 - 1882), British scientist, who laid --->

the foundation of modern evolutionary theory with his concept of the development of all forms of LIFE through the slow-working process of natural selection, began as an underachieving schoolboy. Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519), Florentine artist, one of the great masters of the High Renaissance, celebrated as a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, and scientist started off as an illegitimate outcast. In his youth German-born American physicist Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955) was an academic dwarf, who through persistent effort rose to be an academic giant; who is revered as the greatest scientific genius of all times.

iv. No stupid person ever made a substantial breakthrough. Greatness is never bequethed, it is amassed. The secret of those men and women who have rose higher in any realm lies in a ‘rigorous apprenticeship’.--->

By paying close and careful attention, they learnt to master the ‘hidden codes’ which determine ultimate success or failure. Then, they rewrote the rules as a reflection of their own individuality, blasting previous patterns of achievement open from within.

    v. Essentially, as a student, your ultimate goal is to discover your LIFE’s TASK, or vocation, and carving out a path that will lead you to its fulfillment on various levels. As a culmination of your active SELFHOOD,--->

BEYONDISM sets the ground for you to rise above the current evolutional level of Homo Sapien, and become a Homo Magister, a man or woman the MASTER. What does German philosopher G. W. F. Hegel (1770 - 1831) has to say about MASTERY as the purest form of CONSCIOUSNESS? “Consciousness is thoroughgoing dialectical restlessness, this melee of presentations derived from sense and thought, whose differences collapse into oneness...For consciousness is, on the one hand, consciousness of the object, on the other, consciousness of itself...In work consciousness becomes aware of itself as it in truth is, and its empty notion of itself disappears.”

vi. Engaged fully in your profession, MASTERY is central to finding your purpose. However, we undervalue it; we are afraid of hard work and conform to social pressures. The great danger is that we give in--->

to feelings of boredom, impatience, fear, and confusion. We stop observing and learning. The process comes to a halt. U.S. mathematician Norbert Wiener (1894 - 1964) gives his idea of a scientist (and which applies to all fields where mastery is required): “The independent scientist who is worth the slightest consideration as a scientist has a consecration which comes entirely from within himself: a vocation which demands the possibility of supreme self-sacrifice.”

vii. Redudantly, we assume that only a select few are capable, but ANYONE can become a MASTER. Over the centuries, people have placed a wall around such MASTERY.They have called it genius--->

and have thought of it as inaccessible. However, that wall is imaginary. The evolution of the brain was designed to lead us to MASTERY, the latent power within us all. Unfortunately there are some great detterent as pointed out by U.S. academic John P. Kotter (1947 - ): “Bureaucratic and risk-averse environments are career killers because of their impact on learning.” “Any economy in which more individuals escape entrapment in sterile, bureaucratic corporate slots or menial roles and expand their potential can be argued to be morally superior,” so illumined British-born U.S. business executive George Poste (1944 - ).

A very important consideration in your Jovial Journey of becoming a MASTER, is that you must start at this very early age of YOUTH, to harness and control your emotions. It is an emotional quality that separates those who master a field from the many who simply work at a job.

Your levels of desire, patience, persistence, and confidence are central in MASTERY.
They end up playing a much larger role in success than sheer reasoning powers.
Feeling motivated and energised, you CAN and SHALL overcome almost anything.
Feeling bored and restless, your mind shuts off and you become increasingly passive.
BEYONDISM absolutely affirms that your FERTILE FUTURE begins with you NOW.
It is your journey towards MASTERY.
Here are SEVEN ways to figure out WHO YOU ARE and where you want to go.
    --->

Talent and high IQ cannot explain MASTERY. It is all about hard work and persistence. Thousands upon thousands of children display exceptional skill and talent in some field, yet relatively few of them ever amount to anything, whereas those who are less brilliant in their youth can often attain much more. Natural talent or a high IQ cannot explain future achievement.

As a classic example of MASTERY, compare the lives of Sir Francis Galton and his older cousin, Sir Charles Darwin. By all accounts, Galton was a super-genius with an exceptionally high IQ, quite a bit higher than Darwin’s (these are estimates done by experts years after the invention of the measurement). Galton was a boy wonder who went on to have an illustrious scientific career, but he never quite mastered any of the fields he went into. He was notoriously restless, as is often the case with child prodigies. Darwin, by contrast, is rightly celebrated as the superior scientist, one of the few who has forever changed our view of LIFE. Listen to these powerful and inspiring words of German philosopher, poet, and classical philologist Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844 - 1900):
Do not talk about giftedness, inborn talents! One can name great men of all kinds who were very little gifted. They acquired greatness, became “geniuses” (as we put it), through qualities the lack of which no one who knew what they were would boast of: they all possessed that seriousness of the efficient workman which first learns to construct the parts properly before it ventures to fashion a great whole; they allowed themselves time for it, because they took more pleasure in making the little, secondary things well than in the effect of a dazzling whole.

    1. Find out the things you feel you do well.--->

Think about the talents you already know you have, and ask friends and family what they think you are good at. You might be surprised by what they say. Are these what challenges you? The things that challenge you might be opportunities to improve and move toward your goals — and they might suggest areas of study and work that will keep you interested long into the future.

    2. Engage in what you like to do for fun.--->

Think about the reasons you enjoy your favourite activities, the things they have in common and the strengths they bring out in you.

    3. Rise up to those who you do look up to.--->

The people you admire — whether they are celebrities, historical figures or people you know personally — can tell you something about who you are and what you value. Consider what it is about them you like and whether those qualities are worth reaching for.

    4. Things you have always wanted to try are vital.--->

Consider your reasons for wanting to do this — and why it is you have not done this yet. Do you find it exciting? What do you expect to get out of it? Which are the accomplishment that has made you most proud? Your answer might have nothing to do with a hard-won A or a trophy — it might be the time you stuck up for someone who needed your help. What you are proud of can help you see what matters most to you.

    5. Indulge in your favourite class. Do not limit--->

yourself to the subjects that come easiest to you. Think about which classes make you lose track of time. Is it the teacher/lecturer or the subject matter that holds your interest? What do you read about in your free time? The kinds of stories you follow in the news, your favourite books and websites — these can help you figure out what really makes you curious.

    6. List the jobs you could do job for a day.--->

Think about which careers you want to try on. What is it about them you find so appealing? What would you change to make them fit you better?

    7. Entertain the things you wanted to be when--->

you grew up. Even if your childhood dreams seem silly now, remembering them may show you what has always been important to you.

    WHAT NOW?
These personal explorations will go along way in heping you to make important discoveries about who you are. Stay open to the places and interests they lead to.

English philosopher, scientist, statesman, and lawyer Sir Francis Bacon (1561 - 1626) rose through the ranks of the Elizabethan bureaucracy to achieve the position of Lord Chancellor during the reign of King James I. Bacon wrote important literary and philosophical works and was a major contributor to modern scientific thought. His Essays (published sporadically between 1597 and 1625), excerpted below, are considered his chief contribution to literature.

...““What is truth?” said jesting Pilate, and would not stay for an answer... yet truth, which only doth judge itself, teacheth that the inquiry of truth, which is the love-making or wooing of it, the knowledge of truth, which is the presence of it, and the belief of truth, which is the enjoying of it, is the sovereign good of human nature. The first creature of God, in the works of the days, was the light of the sense; the last was the light of reason; and his sabbath work ever since is the illumination of his Spirit. First he breathed light upon the face of the matter or chaos; then he breathed light into the face of man; and still he breatheth and inspireth light into the face of his chosen. The poet that beautified the sect that was otherwise inferior to the rest, saith yet excellently well: “It is a pleasure, to stand upon the shore, and to see ships tossed upon the sea; a pleasure to stand in the window of a castle, and to see a battle, and the adventures thereof below: but no pleasure is comparable to the standing upon the vantage ground of truth” (a hill not to be commanded, and where the air is always clear and serene), “and to see the errors, and wanderings, and mists, and tempests, in the vale below”; so always that this prospect be with pity, and not with swelling, or pride. Certainly it is heaven upon earth to have a man’s mind move in charity, rest in providence, and turn upon the poles of truth...”

Forward we match, as our WITTY WARFARE against DECADENCE continues to be more and more fiery!

    1. Without any pleading or justification, it is the humble hope of BEYONDISM, that you have been (or you will be) conceptually cleansed, perceptually purified and existentially enabled, to authentically acquire the gainful gusto to LOCATE your BEARING. Your PSYCHIC PRECISION having been therapeutically tempered to ACTUALIZE your POTENTIAL, you are (or will be) therefore, explicitly empowered to implicitly indulge in soulfully spreading the gallant gospel of an African RENAISSANCE.
    2. Affirmatively, 2A/3P SELF-ACTUALIZATION Model which solidly stands at the core center of BEYONDISM, distinctly deals with what it says it does (validity), and precisely produces the same results when given same data more than once (reliability). So rest and praise. For what other end do we AFRICANS propose to ourselves, than to remove all scruples and impediments to our personal and social growth, so as to unlock and unleash all our immense, inherent ABILITIES?
    3. Robustly, BEYONDISM is ferociously fueled by 7P’s (Psychology, Philosophy, Poetry, Prose, Programming, Post-modernism, and Pan-Africanism).
      1. Psychology supplies the essential raw materials, and the basic facts from current research.
      2. Philosophy provides the adhesive force, for making BEYONDISM meaningfully enriching.
      3. Poetry offers the simplest, as well as the colourful way to make BEYONDISM palatable.
      4. Prose anchors you in the groves of BEYONDISM, so as to walk in the PSYCHIC paradise.
      5. Programming is the medium about which this work, is converted into a “personalized book.”
      6. Post-modernism is taking TRUTH as dependent upon personal, historical and social context.
      7. Pan-Africanism gives us the guiding goal, and the ultimate stimulation of BEYONDISM.
    4. Fundamentally, the MODEL is precisely for SELF-REALIZATION, SELF-ACTUALIZATION, as well as SELF-SUFFICIENCY purposes only. Consequently, it is not intended to be a substitute for dueling with the hustles and bustles of real LIFE, or the traditional face to face counselling with a trained (and certified) counsellor or a psychotherapist. 5. An accomplished author, Mwaniki (who is the worthy initiator of BEYONDISM and the chief architect of 2A/3P... MODEL) has written two books: ‘An ABCD...for an Assertive African’, and ‘Building a PSYCHIC PALACE: Provoking Positive Perceptions’. Like this scholar, let others be blessed by the TIMELY THERAPY of BEYONDISM (so as to kindle the fire of an African RENAISSANCE), by RESPONDING, then PROPOSING the respective CODES, to as many AFRICANS as you can. O, let not the flame die out! “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” - Bible, Mark 16:15.

An African subject I was born, and an African subject I hope to die. AFRICA, with all thy faults, I love thee still, my continent. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?
    7. Eventually, BEYONDISM has spoken; the case of MEANINGLESSNESS, PURPOSELESSNESS and VALUELESSNESS is (or shall soon be) concluded once and for all. I think I have (or will), by God’s inerrant inspirition, diligently discharged my ontological obligation in duly developing this laudably large and WONDERFUL WEBSITE - which is deftly determined, to be candidly crowned in the Africans’ PSYCHE, as a magnum opus (Latin “Great Work”). Let those who think I have said too little, or too much, forgive me; and those who think I have said just enough join me in giving thanks to God. AMEN!
